This week (1-7 June) is possibly the busiest week in a voluntary sector organisation’s calendar as we celebrate Volunteer’s Week across the UK.
We’re proud of all of our volunteers but special recognition has been given to the Active Living Phoenix group in Watchet, West Somerset, who were awarded the Queens Award for Voluntary Service (QAVS) this Spring after being nominated by Jemma Lawson – their Volunteer Engagement Adviser.
After a busy start to the year, CSW You Can Do is welcoming two new team members who will be taking on the roles of Volunteer Engagement Advisers and join Sue, Darren, Sheila, Brenda, Jemma and Lucia.
It was wonderful to see several our volunteers receive official acknowledgement for their hard work and for the difference they make to the community of Taunton Deane.
